About Me

Howdy! Thanks for stopping by my humble lill blog. 🙂 I live with my family in a nice little suburb east of Atlanta.  Great location – I love my town, and I love the fact that there are so many geocaches in this area! hehe! 🙂 I love life, and am always up to something and always into trying different things. I have a variety of hobbies and interests.  Some are kinda dull (to others) such as reading, cross-stitching, baking and stamp-collecting. Others are more active – jogging, riding motorcycles, and now geocaching. 😀 Interwoven thru it all are my kids… the little ones who test my patience and keep me laughing, and the teenagers who test my patience and… well, yeah, test my patience! haha! Nah, they all have their quirks, but at heart they are good little GeoKids and GeoTeens. 😉

I also am very passionate about doing whatever I can to support our troops and veterans. That, above all else (second only to the Mom thing) is my mission in life.  I work full time for a great law firm as a secretary and have daily battles with The Dreaded Atlanta Traffic.   Atlanta drivers are slightly psychotic.  No offense intended…I’m not sayin’, I’m just sayin…. scary out there.  😮

We recently (on 10/10/10, at a special 10:10 a.m. service (hehe!)) joined a great local church.  I am trying to be involved as much as my long commute and family obligations will allow.  Which, admittedly, isn’t as much as I’d like, but creative schedule-juggling IS one of my specialties, so it’s all good. 🙂 That’s where A.D.D. can come in very handy, hehe…can’t do one activity for TOO long, or I get bored and have to jump to something else. 🙂 Oooh, look – a geocache! Later, y’all! 😉

Cast of Characters:

  • GeoTeen1:  My oldest daughter, soon to be 18 and recently graduated high schoo! Woot!!!!
  • GeoTeen2:   My oldest son, soon to be 16, currently in “prodigal son” mode and creator of many most nearly all of my grey hairs — a good kid at heart, but just a little lost at present.
  • GeoKid1:   My youngest daughter, my ADHD bundle of electrified sunshine, who just turned 10 🙂
  • GeoKid2:  My youngest son and cub scout, who just turned 8.
  • The GeoDog – ha – this is Gypsy, our lab/border collie/mutt who loves to go running/walking with us but is scared of everything & everyone, unless her family is threatened. 🙂
  • The GeoPug:  Abby is our newest family member.  I adopted her in early June to give the kids something extra to love on, and to create a bit of a diversion for them as we go through some pretty cataclysmic Life Changes.  Pet therapy, you might say. 🙂  Pugs are not really made for the outdoors and don’t handle heat well, so Abby won’t be hiking through forests with us.   But she’ll guard our home while we’re gone and welcome us back enthusiastically, so she’s part of the team, too. 😀
  • Benji – our Bengal cat — temperamental, grouchy, eccentric and loveable all at the same time.
  • C.A.T. – our “mutt” cat from the neighbors.  Pushy little varmint, but very loveable. 🙂 And hungry. Always hungry. 🙂
